Comfort Food Season?

We all know that fall is the prime season for apples and pumpkins, but is there such a thing as comfort food season? Can there be? (Basically, do we have license to eat things like casseroles and lasagna and lasagna casseroles, from the comfort of our sweatpants, without arousing the ire of society?)

We say YES. Comfort food brings with it nostalgia, generally evoking memories of being with family and friends, and that's what this season is really all about. So get together with your family with these Caravia comfort foods available in the store:

Macaroni and Cheese

Homemade Chicken Soup

and more...

Also, here's a tip for making one of the ultimate comfort foods--mashed potatoes:

"To make the creamiest potatoes, try heating your milk or cream and butter over low heat while cooking your potatoes. After draining the potatoes, place them back into their hot pot and allow them to dry briefly, resting about 5 -10 minutes in the pot. Mash until almost smooth, then add the heated milk and butter along with salt and pepper to season. The warm liquid will keep your potatoes hot while mashing, ensuring a smooth consistency. To add a little extra comfort to those potatoes, try adding a swirl of sour cream, a sprinkle of cheddar cheese, or even a bit of spicy horseradish to keep you warm!"
