Produce
The first thing you see when you walk into our store is the produce. The produce section at Caravia has earned a reputation for quality and distinction over the years that we’re very proud of. We have leveraged our generations of produce experience to provide a fresh selection that we feel is unmatched. We scour the country for the best of the best to ensure that our customers our satisfied each and every time.
Caravia has also become one the areas largest providers of organic and locally grown produce. We have several outstanding vendors and local farms that provide produce that is grown the old fashioned way; free of harmful chemicals and pesticides.
Gourmet Foods
Enjoy perusing (and sampling) hummus, savory bread dips, delectable spreads, tangy salsas, delicious tortas, and perfect marinades and dressings. Sift through handmade pastas, homemade sauces, and exquisite oils. Choose from a wide variety of coffees and teas including organic, fair trade, and locally roasted.
In the frozen section you will find a mouth watering array of seafood, pastas, and our famous raviolis including top sellers crab and lobster, wild mushroom & sun dried tomato, grilled vegetable, butternut squash and more.
For dessert, straight from Italy, you’ll find a delicious assortment including individual portions of our Tiramisu, Crème Brulee, and Chocolate Mousse. Or try one of the delicious gelatos and sorbets. The flavors include lemon, orange, peach, chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio, just to name a few.
Fresh Baked
We are proud to feature the now famous Luisa Italian cookies including Palline Di Limone (lemon), Ricciarelli(almond), Fazzoletti(Chocolate), Rasberry, and homemade biscotti. In addition to the cookies, Luisa bakes other phenomenal items such as banana and pumpkin bread and handmade cakes!!
We source our bread exclusively from a fantastic Italian bakery in Denville, NJ.
Fresh Cut Cheese
You’ll see our passion for fine cheese as you peruse and sample from the wide variety of artisan cheeses we’ve assembled. We hand cut most of our cheeses from the wheel and all of our grated cheese is grated on site, not in the factory. We’re proud to source some of the worlds best know cheeses, and we’re even more proud to carry locally made cheese from Calkins Creamery in Honesdale Pa. So whether you’re looking for the famous Parmigiano Reggiano or a nice buttery Gouda, we’ve got you covered.
